new year considerations

via
i had the arresting thought earlier today that this was the year my brother turns 20.

nothing makes you feel old (so far) more than realizing your brother is going to celebrate living two decades of life.

two decades, people.

i rarely make resolutions and this year i'm not making any either. but i am thinking about writing an ebook.

i'm also wondering if i should choose a word for the year. i did last year and the year before but honestly? i can't even remember last year's.

i'm off to a pancake breakfast at IHOP with one of my best friends, but in the meantime, what's arresting you so far this year? what resolutions are you making? what goals are you striving to achieve? what are you working toward in 2013?

  1. Given the desires of your heart to be a high octane giver in the name of the Lord...I hope you will feed only on the best foods...that is the ones that are closest to their original design...He gives good gifts and we have gotten too cleaver at messing many of them up. Some of the least healthy foods I have ever eaten were at church...or get togethers afterwards.
The beauty of youth covers for us for a time...but it is really a wonderful time to root your eating in true sustenance...just like all the other ways we need nourishing.
Happy Holy Days...the New Year is Here.

  3. I did a post on resolutions, the main one I want to achieve is adding more structure to my life, especially next semester. The ebook is a great idea :)

  4. Oh, I can't imagine my brother being 20! He's already 17, and I'm having a hard time with that!

An ebook sounds awesome. Good luck with it!
