i'm linking up with the influence network today!

one | i stand cold weather about as well as a macaw. since i was born in the mitten, you might imagine that presents a wee problem throughout the six months of winter annually curated by america's high five.
two | my least favorite color is pink.
three | i'm an intj, an eight on the enneagram & my love languages are quality time, words of affirmation, and root beer.
(especially since i gave up pop for lent. also i went to a&w last week and it crushed my soul to not be able to order a root beer float.
okay, maybe it didn't quite crush my soul.)

sometimes where two or three thousand (or more or less) come together in His name, you are not actually going to get burned. i've had some tough church experiences over the years and i'm still slightly wary of groups coming together under the mantle of christianity. but seeing how the women in the network are so vulnerable and so quick to give grace has just blown me away.

this is just what i needed during my morning prayer time lol you are so freakin cute!
ReplyDeleteAmerica's high-five? Brilliant!
xo
what you said about the network? completely agree. it amazes me to see women be real on the forums because it's so much more common for women to show jealousy or to form cliques. i really love that about this group.
ReplyDeletei almost listed my love language as one of my three things! ...instead i wrote about ice cream. you know, priorities.
I dislike the colour pink as well. which is strange, because I JUST redesigned my blog to have an overwhelming [to pink-haters, at least] amount of the hue.
ReplyDeleteI've never done myers-briggs, but I just might have to.
and my love languages are quality time + dr pepper. so there's that.
Annie - i'm an ISTJ and my love language is words of affirmation (and ginger ale) - so I bet we have a lot of personality overlap.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE what you said about the Network. I'm glad Hayley and Jessi started under the mantle of the Gospel rather than just Christianity. I think that causes our women to be more graceful and vulnerable. Praying it continues to be the case!
You're cute. And I love that you love pop :)
ReplyDeleteyou're so cute annie! that photo of you is adorable too! :) and root beer... my oh my i love it myself!! sometimes a little too much ;)
ReplyDeletemy love language is words of affirmation and quality time too, but not root beer. womp, womp. two out three no?
ReplyDeletei hear you on the network being full of women that are so real. i too have had not so great church experiences (sad) and this is one thing that i love about joining a network that is so genuine.
Oh my heavens you are adorable! I love that root beer is one of your love languages!!!
ReplyDeleteAlright I'm going to make a note that one of your love languages is root beer. So that I can be sure to buy you one EVERY time we go somewhere when we FINALLY get to meet!!! :)
ReplyDeleteGirl. You had me once you listed your myers briggs and enneagram. I am so into both of those. I'm an isfp and 2. I feel like I really 'get' someone when I know their Enneagram and Myers Briggs. Haha. Nice to 'meet' you! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Annie! I sincerely love the fact that I need to pull up Google + a dictionary when reading your posts. I need that push in my vocabulary. For a long time, (basically until a few weeks ago) I was in denial about me liking the colour pink. I'm pretty sure it's become my favourite. haha!
ReplyDeleteAnnie! I am a huge fan of yours. Really believe in you and all that Jesus has put inside of you. Also love that you're mutual pop lover. Hate how pop has been demonized? Can I get an amen? Okay, I am getting off track here. LOVE your heart.
ReplyDeleteAloha! I'm a new follower from Aunie Sauce =)
ReplyDeleteI love finding new blogs and I'm looking forward to reading more. Have a great day!
Hi Annie! I too am a HUGE fan of root beer! And you write so beautifully - I am so happy to finally say hello and find out more about you!
ReplyDeleteCute! Love learning more about you!
ReplyDeleteNew follower!

ReplyDeleteI hated winter, too. Growing up in Pennsylvania, this was a problem.
ReplyDeleteAND THEN I MOVED TO TEXAS.
Also, it seems like so many people have been blogging about the Influence Network recently (not counting today). I feel like God is telling me something. ...
hah I love that picture of you too! You are too cute Annie! Miss you friend!
ReplyDeleteUm so I really like pink. I'm not sure if we can be friends!
ReplyDeleteI guess we'll both have to just forgive one another for our pink faults. :)
My least favorite color is pink as well. I totally agree with what you said about the network too! :)
ReplyDeletepicture in the tree. best.
ReplyDeletei love pink and snow but I am sure we can work something out - i am an ENFJ so at least we have N&J in common ;)
I have the root beer love language too-I adore root beer floats!! :)
ReplyDeleteI also hate being cold. Hate it. I wear too many clothes all of the time just in case I might be cold.
ReplyDeleteI am enfp...my husband is injt...so fun to figure out!
Blessings to you!

You're adorable! I love pink and actually LOVE cold weather! But the beautiful thing about this Network is that we care for and support each other despite those differences! So nice to get to know you more!
ReplyDeleteYou are precious!!! I love the Influence network and if things work out just right, I would love to go to the conference next year!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, I also love that picture of you! You are an amazing blessing to this network, thank you for the encouragement and love and grace that YOU show to all that you meet.
ReplyDeleteSo blessed to have you in the network, girl. You are a delight! And, I feel the same way about the cold. I still don't know why God has me living in Minnesota!
ReplyDeleteAnnie you are such a brilliant writer! I stand hot weather about as well as you stand cold weather. Texas summers are no fun.
ReplyDeleteHey Annie! I hear ya. It's 1 degree this morning and I've been over winter for at least a month.
ReplyDeleteMy love languages are time and words as well. :) See you this fall!
Ha! I love that one of your love languages is root beer - I think I'm going to have to add that to mine.:)
ReplyDeleteAnd that pic of you is awesome - love the facial expression!
So thankful for you and excited for September!!
ReplyDeleteHey there! I saw in your comment on my blog that we are both English majors. Well, it looks like we are both INTJ's as well. =)
ReplyDeleteI'm an INFJ!! You think, I feel ;) Other than that we are so similar!! xoxo.

ReplyDeleteOK so you're hilarious and adorable. That photo of you -- GUSH. Also missing out on root beer is a sad, sad day (good thing Easter is coming soon! :)).
ReplyDeleteStephanie @ Girl Versus Dough
You are the cutest. And I'm from Iowa and also am not a fan of the cold. (sidenote- can it STOP snowing already this winter?? Geesh.)
